DERA Membership Meeting Sept 30, 6:30 PM
Invite your neighbors to join us!
Please plan to join us for the DERA Membership Meeting on Wednesday, September 30, at 6:30 p.m.in the Community Room at the Evanston Public Library. The agenda includes:
Analysis of the DERA Membership Survey -As you may recall, we sent out a survey to members about their lived experience and views about future development downtown. At this meeting, Gul Agha will discuss the results of the survey and his analysis of the survey data regarding the development of more high-rises downtown. Gul’s report is at tinyurl.com/DERASurveyReport.
Art Encounter – Have you ever been curious about the numerous murals that fill our walls and sidewalks downtown? Lea Pinsky, Executive Director and Mural Program Co-Director, of Art Encounter will tell us about the Mural Program and an opportunity to join her on October 24 for a tour to learn about downtown murals.
Women’s History Park Committee Update – Bonnie Wilson will provide an update about a project to recognize the early women leaders of Evanston.
Open Forum – Discussion of DERA committee work, membership development, opportunities for your involvement and more.
DERA Membership - We need a unified voice advocating for our unique interests as downtown residents. Our activities include surveying our membership to support our advocacy about relevant issues. Thus, membership is an effective way to have your voice heard - the more members we have, the stronger we are. We encourage you to lend a hand to grow our membership:
